Ben Walker, Owner

Owner and founder of Pride Builders, Ben Walker, has built a long-standing tradition of excellence in construction and craftsmanship. A North Carolina native, Ben has worked in the construction industry since he was 18 years old, starting as a general laborer hauling lumber and cleaning job sites. From there, he worked his way up the ladder to become a lead carpenter, with a focus on trim work in high end homes all over Western North Carolina. During his time wearing a tool belt, Ben put himself through college at Western Carolina University, earning a degree in Construction Management and Business Administration.

In 2010 he combined his hands-on construction experience and management skills learned in college to venture out on his own and start Pride Builders, LLC. In 2012 he earned his General Contractors license and shifted his focus to complete home building. With years of work on complex interior trim projects, he trained his eyes to give extra attention to the details, and it’s that same attention to detail that carries his success today in residential home building.

When he’s not working, Ben enjoys exploring the beautiful mountains, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with his amazing family!
